Honesty, integrity and fairness since 1946.
We stake our reputation on our excellent service to policyholders statewide. Oklahoma is our home, and our policyholders are our neighbors. And our policyholders are more than clients – they’re our community members, our peers and our neighbors. We strive to meet their needs with dependable products and dedicated customer service. With offices in all 77 Oklahoma counties, an OKFB agent is always close by and ready to provide customizable and dependable insurance service to you.
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau was organized in 1942 by Oklahoma farm and ranch families. Soon after, many members of the Bureau realized auto insurance was a service many of the state’s farmers and ranchers needed most. In 1946, members of OKFB and their families loaned a total of $35,000 to help capitalize Oklahoma Farm Bureau Mutual Casualty Company. Shortly after that, members of the Bureau worked to expand offerings. Farm Bureau Mutual Fire Insurance Company was formed to help provide property insurance to OKFB members.
In 1949, these two companies were merged to form Oklahoma Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company.
In 1957, we became affiliated with what is today known as Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company to offer life insurance products to Oklahoma Farm Bureau members.
A lot has changed in the world of insurance throughout the past 70 years, but the one thing that has stayed the same is our unending commitment to serve Oklahomans.
As a local, Oklahoma-based company, we take pride in serving the communities where we work and live. OKFB takes part in OYE, FFA, 4-H and numerous other organizations every year. The Farming and Ranching Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of OKFB and through partnerships like Beef For Backpacks and Pork for Packs, donated cattle and hogs that produce beef and pork sticks for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. These donations are distributed to more than 550 Oklahoma schools and help feed more than 29,000 hungry children each week.
Additionally, we are proud of the many OKFB agents who serve on community school boards and rotaries as well as participate in organizations like the United Way and the Wounded Warrior Project. Across the state, our agents are responsible for countless hours of community service each year.
Members of the Oklahoma Farm Bureau gain exclusive access to benefits, discounts and opportunities.
