Following in the footsteps of my father, I became a Farm Bureau Agent. Being raised in southern Oklahoma, I am deeply rooted in agriculture. I am a fourth generation cattle rancher. I raise stocker calves and grass fed beef, and am co-partners with my father and brother in Southern Grasslands. I graduated from Oklahoma State University majoring in AgriBusiness. Living in God's country, I'm just an Oklahoma cowboy chasing the dream.

After being in public education, I transitioned into the insurance industry in 2018. I find great joy in helping others protect what they have worked so hard for, and pride myself in the relationships I get to build with each member, and fellow agents! Raising 5 children, traveling, finding ways to share and grow our faith, and enjoying the Stillwater community, we have been very blessed to be a part of Oklahoma Farm Bureau Insurance, and the multiple coverages we offer!
Derek Rasmussen
I have lived in Oklahoma for the past 12 years & have been in Payne County for all of them. I married my wife, Trish, in 2012 and we have two boys, Kase (9) & Rhett (3). When I'm out of the office, I spend my time following Kase around in his sports, playing video games with Rhett or on a football field somewhere in the state of Oklahoma with Sooner7 or the next generation of QB's. I'm beyond proud to be serving the people of Payne County here at Oklahoma Farm Bureau Insurance.
